When I went to get Caleb from his bed this morning I noticed there were some scratches on his crib that I have never noticed before. I started looking a little closser trying to figure out what in the world was going on when I noticed something very interesting. I noticed there was a distinct two line pattern. I tried to think of what could make this pattern then it all came to me. Caleb has two teeth on the bottom row and he has been pulling up on things in the living room. But I have never seen him pull up on his crib and succeed. I had to investigate. When he was about to wake up from his first nap today I went in ready with my camera. This is what I found.....he is eating his crib! Now Caleb is big for his age and loves to eat and I am pretty sure that if I dont find a way to stop the madness his beautiful crib will soon be toothpicks! Hahaha! What should I do?!?!

i don't know????
yeah girl no clue on how to help with that...jaxon did it for a little while and quit on her own. good luck!
Those pictures are precious! I know that a lot of babies teeth on their cribs. I've seen some places sell teething bars that you can put on the crib to protect the wood. I think they are just plastic strips that the babies can chew on. You might google it to see if you can find something. Good luck :)
I was going to say what Stephanie said. I don't know if it would be big enough for Caleb... looks like he got a BIG bite out of it!
I too have a beaver. :) He looks proud of his accomplishment!
That is too funny. It's not funny he is scratching the crib, but I've never seen a baby teeth to that extent on a crib. Are you sure you are feeding him enough? JK! Steph had a great idea to google the teething strips. I don't even know the proper name for them. Let us know how it goes.
He is too cute, by the way. From the look of that smile you might have a little fellow that likes to get into trouble in a few months. Not that I would know anything about kids like that. Ha!
I just had a thought after reading these comments...I had those plastic strips that went on the top of the crb...they just slide right on!
Hey Lanessa, I thought I'd sneak a peek at your blog and these pictures make me nervous! We bought a nice convertible crib with plans for our little man to use it all through his childhood but I'm not sure it'll survive that long! Most plastic strips I've seen are too thin to fit on many cribs out there today (ours has really wide edges), but I did find this website that offers some pretty neat guards. Here's the link: http://www.surfsidebaby.com/store/KDK2700CLR.html
Let me know if you find a solution! Caleb's a cutie!
